MOSCOW, May 5 (Xinhua) -- Two civilians were killed and 32 others injured, including one child, in a large-scale drone attack on Russia's Chuvash Republic, regional head Oleg Nikolayev said Tuesday.
Most of the injured have received medical treatment and returned home, while those hospitalized are in stable condition and receiving necessary care, Nikolayev said.
The attack damaged 28 residential buildings housing about 8,500 people. Two buildings suffered structural damage and were deemed unsafe, prompting evacuations.
A regional state of emergency has been declared to speed up relief efforts, Nikolayev said. ■
