MOSCOW, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Russian energy giant Gazprom Neft plans to increase hydrocarbon production in 2026, the company's CEO Alexander Dyukov said at a business leaders' meeting here on Thursday.
"This year we plan to increase hydrocarbon production, primarily oil," Dyukov said on the sidelines of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs congress.
Gazprom Neft's hydrocarbon production, including its share in joint ventures, increased by 5.3 percent in 2024 to 126.9 million tons of oil equivalent. The 2025 figure has not yet been announced.
Dyukov also said that Russia should impose a complete ban on gasoline exports for two to three months to prevent its diversion to foreign markets, where prices are higher.
Currently, Russia has a ban on gasoline exports only for non-manufacturers until the end of July. However, major oil companies are allowed to export. ■
