MOSCOW, March 23 (Xinhua) -- Three people died and four others were injured in a fire in central Moscow early Monday morning, the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported.
The fire, which broke out in an apartment of a residential building and covered an area of 100 square meters, has been extinguished, with more than 20 people evacuated.
Eighty-six personnel were involved in extinguishing the fire, the ministry said.
The cause of the fire remains unknown. ■
