MOSCOW, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Fourteen railway tank cars carrying diesel fuel and fuel oil derailed in Russia's Penza Oblast on Saturday, TASS reported.
The derailment happened following a collision between a shunting locomotive and a freight train during maneuvering operations at the Chais station, about 625 km southeast of Moscow, TASS quoted law enforcement agencies as saying. No casualties were reported.
The Volga Transport Prosecutor's Office said on Telegram that three recovery trains have been dispatched to restore rail traffic on the scene.
Penza Governor Oleg Melnychenko said the accident delayed a passenger train running from Samara to St. Petersburg. ■
