HANOI, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's total goods import-export turnover reached 770.14 billion U.S. dollars in the first eight months of 2026, the highest level ever recorded for the period and up 28.7 percent year on year, according to a report released Thursday by the National Statistics Office.
During the period, exports increased 22.4 percent year on year to 374.84 billion U.S. dollars, while imports rose 35.3 percent to 395.3 billion U.S. dollars, the office said.
The United States remained Vietnam's largest export market, with turnover reaching 122 billion U.S. dollars in the first eight months.
Meanwhile, China was Vietnam's largest import market during the period, with turnover totaling 161.9 billion U.S. dollars. ■
