PHNOM PENH, April 28 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia exported bicycles worth 201.2 million U.S. dollars in the first quarter of 2026, up 44 percent from 139.7 million dollars over the same period last year, said a Ministry of Commerce report on Tuesday.

Bicycles had been shipped mainly to the United States, European countries, Britain, Canada, and Australia, among others, the report said.

Bicycles have become one of Cambodia's main manufacturing products for exporting to international markets in addition to garments, shoes, travel goods, and car tires, Ministry of Commerce's Secretary of State and Spokesperson Penn Sovicheat told Xinhua.

Thong Mengdavid, deputy director at the China-ASEAN Studies Center of the Cambodia University of Technology and Science, said the growth reflected strong manufacturing momentum and rising global demand.
