BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- The awards ceremony for the Sixth Brunei Primary Students Painting Competition was held on Wednesday at a shopping complex near the capital, drawing students, teachers and parents to celebrate young artistic talent.
The competition carried the theme "Joining Hands for a China-Brunei Community with a Shared Future," highlighting the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Bethany Ng Shi Ning from Chung Hua Middle School in Brunei's Belait district emerged as the top prize winner of the competition.
Expressing her delight, Bethany said she drew inspiration by exploring places of interest in both Brunei and China, incorporating iconic landmarks and cultural elements from the two nations into her artwork. ■
