KABUL, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- Afghan security forces have seized a quantity of firearms and ammunition during separate operations in two provinces, officials said on Saturday.
According to a statement from the provincial governor's office, security personnel carried out a series of operations in the Khost district of northern Baghlan province, seizing firearms and ammunition.
In a separate operation, security personnel discovered firearms and ammunition during a routine vehicle inspection on the outskirts of the Nijrab district of eastern Kapisa province. ■
