HANOI, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's Ministry of Planning and Investment has proposed a new law on industrial parks to attract more investments, Vietnam News reported Tuesday.

The law aims at creating flourishing conditions for Vietnam to build large and green industrial parks that can attract high-quality investment capital flow.

Incentive policies are included in the proposed law to promote the development of industrial parks, focusing on highly specialized and smart industrial parks, which can attract investment in such fields as digital and green economies, chips, semiconductors and innovative material industries, said the report.

The ministry has proposed preferential policies related to taxes, fees and capital investment in these zones.

Vietnam now has 416 industrial parks and more than 1,000 industrial clusters, contributing to around half of the country's export turnover, said the ministry.
