TUNIS, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- Tunisia and Algeria reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation and advancing their partnership during the 23rd session of the Tunisian-Algerian Joint High Commission, which concluded Friday in Tunis, the Tunisian government said.

The session was co-chaired by Tunisian Prime Minister Sarra Zaafrani Zenzri and Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb. Several agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed in areas including water, transport, investment, insurance, youth and sports, diplomacy, and media.

The Algerian prime minister said agreements reached on Friday strengthen the legal and institutional framework for cooperation and expand economic ties beyond strategic sectors such as security, defense, and energy. He highlighted opportunities to boost non-hydrocarbon trade and joint investments.

On regional issues, Ghrieb said Tunisia and Algeria are fully aligned on the Palestinian cause and efforts to support Libya's sovereignty, unity, and resources.
