NANJING, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Russia claimed two gold medals at the 2026 Trampoline World Championships here on Friday.

Russia missed the women's tumbling team podium at last year's championships in Spain, but bounced back this time, topping the qualification stage with a lead of more than one point over runner-up Belgium.

Aleksandra Liamina and Arina Kaliandra, competing in the first and third rounds, respectively, both finished first to earn Russia 20 points in the final. The team's new member, Elena Neiman, added eight points in the second round.

Belgium finished second with 22 points, while France came third with 21.

"We waited for this victory for a long time," said Neiman, "I'm so glad that we are here as a team and stand together on top of the podium."

Russia also claimed the men's double mini-trampoline team gold, scoring two eight-point results and one 10-point result. Portugal took home the silver medal while the bronze went to the United States.

"We are a young team that didn't think about medals in the beginning, so it's quite a surprise to us," said Aleksandr Butko of Russia.

Elsewhere, the U.S. claimed women's double mini-trampoline team title, while Azerbaijan won the men's tumbling team title. ■
