PARIS, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- A bus collided with a stationary train on a vehicle-loading platform on the French side of the Channel Tunnel on Thursday evening, injuring 19 people, French daily Le Figaro reported.
The prefect of Pas-de-Calais said in a statement that 19 people, including the driver of the bus, were injured, with no deaths reported and no lives at risk.
French broadcaster France Info reported that Eurostar passenger services had not been disrupted, while freight traffic through the tunnel was suspended.
The Channel Tunnel is an undersea tunnel linking southern England and northern France. ■
