KABUL, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Torrential rains unleashed flash floods that swept through parts of eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, killing two people and injuring 10 others, the provincial government office said in a statement on Thursday.
The floods struck a dozen districts, with 216 homes affected, said the statement.
The deluge also damaged infrastructure and dealt a heavy blow to the local agricultural sector, submerging roughly 2,815 acres of farmland across the province, according to the statement. ■
