NEW DELHI, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- Three youths in their early 20s, including two women, have died after a 19-year-old boy rammed his car, driven at a very high speed, into their two-wheeler in India's southern state of Kerala on Sunday, confirmed the local police.
The mishap was reported from the state's Kochi district, near the Nedumbassery airport. The accused teenager was reportedly in an inebriated state when he hit the two-wheeler.
All the deceased worked at a private firm and were going to a cafe when they met with the accident. While the two women died instantly, the man died at a local hospital.
The local police arrested the driver, who had consumed alcohol at multiple bars before committing the accident.
The car was being driven at such a high speed that the two-wheeler was dragged for at least 100 meters after being hit, said the police. ■
