HANOI, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- The Vietnamese Ministry of Finance has developed two inflation scenarios for 2026, projecting inflation at 4.5 percent and 4.8 percent, respectively, local media reported on Monday.
The State Bank of Vietnam forecasts average inflation for the full year at 4.5-5 percent, while international organizations project it at 4.2-5.5 percent, the report said.
Vietnam's consumer price index rose by an average of 4.52 percent year on year in the first nine months of 2026, while core inflation increased by 4.26 percent, according to the ministry.
To maintain price stability in the remaining months of the year, the ministry proposed maintaining appropriate tax and fee exemptions, reductions and deferrals, while managing credit appropriately and prioritizing funding for production and business activities. ■
