PHNOM PENH, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet departed Sunday morning for a three-nation tour of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Kazakhstan to strengthen bilateral and multilateral relations and cooperation.
"I am leading the Cambodian delegation on official and working visits to the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Türkiye, and the Republic of Kazakhstan, and to attend the seventh Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA)," Hun Manet announced on social media prior to his departure.
The prime minister's itinerary begins in Baku, Azerbaijan, where he will attend the CICA summit on Oct. 15. He will then head to Türkiye on Oct. 16 and conclude his tour in Kazakhstan on Oct. 17.
Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said that the tour is expected to "give new momentum to strengthening and expanding Cambodia's cordial ties and cooperation" with the three nations.
The high-level delegation includes the prime minister's wife, Pich Chanmony, alongside deputy prime ministers, senior government officials, and a business contingent from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce. ■
