TOKYO, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- Bodies of three people were found after a house caught fire in Tsu, Mie Prefecture, central Japan, on Friday afternoon, local media reported.
A 38-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman, believed to be residents of the house, were taken to the hospital after suffering burns to their hands and other injuries. Both were conscious, public broadcaster NHK reported, citing police.
Four children remain unaccounted for, and police and firefighters are working to confirm their whereabouts.
The fire was reported at around 2 p.m. local time, and 11 fire engines and other vehicles were dispatched to the scene to battle the blaze. ■
