BEIJING, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan at 0129 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 36.05 degrees north latitude and 68.87 degrees east longitude. ■
