NEW DELHI, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- Five people belonging to the same family died, and three others were injured when two liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders blew off in India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh, confirmed the local police on Tuesday.
Among the dead were three children, and the three people who suffered from burn injuries were admitted to a local hospital, the police said.
The mishap occurred late on Monday night while dinner was being cooked, the police said.
Firefighters were called in to douse the fire, and damage to nearby houses was being assessed. ■
