Trump orders Canadian products removed from U.S. gov't contract lists
U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday ordered Canadian products removed from U.S. government contract lists in response to Canada's counter-tariffs.
"I am hereby directing the GSA (General Services Administration), working with the USTR (United States Trade Representative), to take all necessary steps to REMOVE Canadian-origin products from GSA's Multiple Award Schedules unless Canada restores full and fair reciprocity for American Farmers and Companies," Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
U.S. hits 2 Iranian oilers off S. coast as IRGC vows retaliation -- media
Two Iranian oil tankers were attacked by the United States off the country's southern coast Tuesday night, while the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) ordered crews off tankers at Kuwaiti and Bahraini piers, Iranian media reported.
One of the tankers was targeted in a U.S. missile attack four miles (about 6.5 km) off Iran's southern Kharg Island, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported.
Houthis claim large-scale missile, drone attacks on Saudi targets
Yemen's Houthi group on Tuesday claimed responsibility for a large-scale missile and drone raids on military and energy facilities across southern Saudi Arabia, saying the attacks were in response to recent Saudi military operations in Yemen.
In a statement broadcast by the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Sarea said the group used "dozens of ballistic missiles and drones" to strike facilities belonging to Saudi state oil giant Aramco in the cities of Abha, Najran and Jazan, as well as Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries and King Khalid Air Base near the city of Khamis Mushait in the southwestern Asir region.
3 artworks stolen from France's Renoir Museum
Three works of art were stolen early Tuesday from the Renoir Museum in Cagnes-sur-Mer in southeastern France's Alpes-Maritimes department, the French daily Le Monde reported.
Two thieves were spotted by the town's video surveillance cameras and fled, Cagnes-sur-Mer Mayor Bryan Masson was quoted as saying. The thieves took four works of art from the museum but dropped one as they fled, the mayor said.■
