KABUL, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- Police have arrested three armed individuals in northern Afghanistan's Sari Pul province to maintain law and order, provincial police spokesperson Naqibullah Alamyar said Monday.
During a series of intelligence-based operations, launched in Sangcharak district the other day, police took into custody three armed individuals and recovered a Kalashnikov and two pistols from their possessions, the official added.
Police will not allow anyone to fulfil vicious designs and disrupt law and order for the people, the official further said. ■
