BERLIN, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Augsburg scored four second-half goals to rally past Eintracht Frankfurt 4-1 on Sunday, moving top of the Bundesliga for the first time in the club's history.
Eintracht went ahead after six minutes when Jonathan Burkardt headed home from Younes Ebnoutalib's cross.
The hosts controlled much of the opening half, with Mario Gotze directing play and Ebnoutalib repeatedly causing problems. Augsburg goalkeeper Finn Dahmen denied Can Uzun, Raphael Onyedika and Ebnoutalib.
Augsburg's only clear chance in the first half came from Fabian Rieder's free kick, which went narrowly wide in stoppage time.
The match changed immediately after the restart. Arijon Ibrahimovic, making his Augsburg debut, headed Marius Wolf's delivery into the far corner in the 46th minute.
Augsburg struck again less than two minutes later. Goalkeeper Noah Atubolu appeared to have Ibrahimovic's effort under control but spilled the ball, allowing Robin Fellhauer to turn it home.
Atubolu denied Michael Gregoritsch in the 58th minute but was beaten seven minutes later when substitute Alexis Claude-Maurice curled a shot into the far corner.
Rieder completed the scoring in the 89th minute with a free kick from 24 meters into the top corner.
The victory followed Augsburg's 3-0 win over Schalke and leaves the club with six points and a 7-1 goal difference. Eintracht has one point from its opening two matches.
"Conceding two goals straight after halftime is very bitter. I don't really know what happened," Burkardt said. "Augsburg was clearly more mature in the second half."
Augsburg hosts Bayer Leverkusen next Saturday, while Eintracht visits Mainz.
Also on Sunday, Mainz crushed Hamburg 5-0, with Phillip Tietz scoring twice after Sheraldo Becker and Phillipp Mwene had put the visitors in control. Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer completed the rout in stoppage time. ■
