KABUL, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- At least 14 people sustained injuries in a blast that rocked eastern Afghanistan's Laghman province late Friday, local authorities confirmed on Saturday.
Initial findings show that the blast occurred at Rahmani Square, Mehtarlam city, the provincial capital, when a gas cylinder installed in a rickshaw exploded, according to provincial government spokesman Abdul Malik Niazi.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing, the official said, adding that the injured were sent to nearby medical facilities. ■
