JERUSALEM, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS), Switzerland's national airline, resumed service to Israel on Saturday, as a flight from Zurich arrived at Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv.
The airline, part of the Lufthansa Group, suspended flights to Israel at the end of February following the launch of U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran.
Lufthansa, Germany's national carrier, also resumed its Munich-Tel Aviv route on Saturday, with two daily flights, after restoring service from Frankfurt last month.
Another Lufthansa Group airline, Belgium's national carrier Brussels Airlines, is scheduled to resume flights to Israel on Wednesday, with a weekly flight, the group said in a statement.
The group added it will add three weekly Austrian Airlines flights on the Vienna-Tel Aviv route, which resumed operations in June, further expanding its services to Israel.
Also on Saturday, German airline Condor Flugdienst returned to Israel after decades, landing a Frankfurt-Tel Aviv flight. The airline said in a statement it briefly operated flights to Israel in the 1950s. ■
