MUSCAT, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- Oman's oil production increased 10.6 percent and natural gas production rose 6.7 percent in the first half of 2026 from a year earlier, according to data released Saturday by the country's National Center for Statistics and Information.

Total oil production reached 198.01 million barrels by the end of June, from 179.05 million barrels in the same period last year, while average daily output increased to 1.09 million barrels per day, up from 989.2 thousand barrels per day a year earlier.

The average price of Omani crude climbed 9.4 percent to 80.9 U.S. dollars per barrel, and crude exports edged up 2.4 percent to 155.22 million barrels.

The country's natural gas production, including domestic output and imports, reached 29.54 billion cubic meters during the first half of 2026, compared with 27.69 billion cubic meters during the same period in 2025.
