KABUL, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- Afghan security forces have dismantled an armed robbery gang operating in the capital of Kabul, police said in a statement on Saturday.
The suspects, who had been conducting a series of thefts on the city's outskirts, were apprehended in Police District 8. Authorities said the group recently stormed a residence in the Beni Hisar region in Kabul, fatally shooting two members of the same family and injuring a third during the robbery.
Security personnel recovered a substantial cache of stolen property, including two vehicles, along with five pistols seized from their possession. ■
