MADRID, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Colombian international midfielder Gustavo Puerta has admitted that he does not know where he will play next season.
Puerta was a key figure in Racing Santander's return to La Liga after the club won the Spanish second division last season, and he was also named in Colombia's squad for this year's FIFA World Cup.
The 23-year-old joined Racing from Bayer Leverkusen in 2025. With his value having risen sharply in recent months, Racing appears increasingly likely to consider selling him.
"I don't know what the chance is of me staying," Puerta told Spanish sports daily Diario AS.
"I am still a Racing Santander player, but it's true that people have talked about a lot of things. There have been rumors, but let's see what happens and what is best for me and my career," he said, adding that he was not overly concerned about where he would play.
"I'm happy anywhere, and I'll go to give the best I have wherever it is," he said. ■
