AMMAN, July 27 (Xinhua) -- The Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted and shot down two drones targeting the kingdom on Monday morning, the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) said.
In a statement, the JAF said the interception caused no casualties or damage.
Royal Engineering Corps teams were dispatched to the sites where the drone debris fell and secured the areas in accordance with established technical and security procedures.
The JAF said it continues to monitor the kingdom's airspace and maintain the highest level of operational readiness to counter any threat to Jordan's security and the safety of its citizens. ■
