JAKARTA, July 22 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian government will continue providing incentives for the electric vehicle (EV) industry, but the subsidies will be redirected to selected companies, the country's Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said Tuesday.
He mentioned that he was awaiting input from the Ministry of Industry and state investment agency Danantara, as the two institutions have been tasked with determining which companies will receive the support.
The EV incentive program was previously delayed as the government recalculated its budget and mechanism. ■
