DUSHANBE, July 20 (Xinhua) -- Tajikistan's foreign trade turnover reached 6.82 billion U.S. dollars in the first half of 2026, up 44.2 percent year over year, the country's Agency on Statistics announced Monday at a press conference.
According to the agency, the country's exports rose 65.4 percent from a year earlier to 1.58 billion dollars, while imports increased 38.8 percent to 5.24 billion dollars.
During the January-June period, Tajikistan maintained trade relations with 124 countries, including 10 members of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the agency said.
Switzerland ranked first among destinations for Tajik exports, accounting for 32.2 percent of the total export value.
Tajikistan recorded a trade surplus with the Netherlands, Belgium, Türkiye and Afghanistan during the period, according to the agency. ■
