BEIRUT, July 8 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed Wednesday in an Israeli drone strike targeting the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon, the official National News Agency (NNA) reported.
According to the NNA, an Israeli drone struck the vicinity of Ghandour Hospital in the town, killing two young men who were walking near the facility.
The agency also reported the Israeli army carried out a large-scale demolition in the border town of Taybeh.
Meanwhile, Israeli drones were reported flying at low altitude over Beirut's southern suburbs and villages, according to the NNA.
The strike occurred despite a framework agreement recently reached between Lebanon and Israel aimed at ending hostilities along the border.
Lebanon's Public Health Ministry said in a statement that Israeli attacks between March 2 and July 8 killed 4,321 people and wounded 12,203. ■
