JAKARTA, July 7 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday agreed to broaden cooperation, reaffirming their commitment to closer collaboration in key sectors including politics, trade, security, education, healthcare, energy and culture.

The consensus was reached during bilateral talks in Jakarta as Modi paid a state visit to Indonesia, according to a statement released by the Indonesian Government Communication Agency.

"This visit reflects the commitment of both countries to further advance our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership through concrete and mutually beneficial cooperation," Prabowo said.

The two countries agreed to expand political engagement through more frequent high-level exchanges, stronger bilateral consultation mechanisms and closer institutional links. They also pledged to reinforce counter-terrorism cooperation through the India-Indonesia Security Dialogue.

The two countries also reached agreements related to the BrahMos missile system and air-to-air missile cooperation.
