KABUL, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan's Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation announced that 147 Afghan nationals have been released from detention in Pakistan and returned to the country on Thursday.
According to the ministry, 125 of the returnees entered Afghanistan through the Torkham border crossing, while 22 crossed through Spin Boldak.
The ministry said the individuals had been detained for lacking legal residency documents in Pakistan. After receiving humanitarian assistance upon their return, they were transported to their home provinces. ■
