MOSCOW, June 30 (Xinhua) -- The Russian armed forces have taken control of three settlements -- Malinovka in the Donetsk region, Lesnoye and Rovnoye in the Zaporizhzhia region -- on the frontline with Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
Russia's operational-tactical aviation, strike drones, missile and artillery units hit Ukraine's military-related infrastructure along the frontline combat zones, including fuel and energy infrastructure facilities, storage and assembly sites for long-range drones, fuel depots, lubricants and military hardware, as well as temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed units and foreign mercenaries across 142 areas, according to the statement.
It said Russian air defense assets intercepted seven guided aerial bombs and 806 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles. Vessels of the Black Sea Fleet eliminated seven unmanned surface craft.
Earlier on Tuesday, Russian air defense and electronic warfare systems repelled an attack involving 60 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the Moscow region, said regional Governor Andrei Vorobyov, confirming one death and multiple injuries.
In a statement posted on social media, Vorobyov said a private residence in the town of Yegoryevsk caught fire after a drone crashed into it overnight, trapping several people under the debris.
Two adults and two children were saved from under the rubble and are receiving medical treatment, the governor said, adding that a six-month-old infant died on the way to the hospital. ■
