JAKARTA, June 22 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's Minister of Trade Budi Santoso on Monday called for wider adoption of the franchise business model to support the growth of local enterprises and expand the global reach of Indonesian products.
Budi said franchises offer advantages because they already have established management, production, and market systems, allowing businesses to expand more quickly and efficiently.
However, he stressed that strict quality standards must accompany such expansion to maintain product consistency and ensure operational sustainability.
"Strict standards are very important to provide assurance to franchisees so that they can operate effectively and sustainably," Budi said. ■
