KIEV, June 22 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine has signed a contract with Germany for the purchase of 600 air defense missiles, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview published late Sunday.
"This is a good contract," Zelensky was quoted by TSN.ua as saying, adding that the delivery process may take a considerable amount of time.
Germany began manufacturing Patriot missiles some time ago after obtaining a production licence from the United States, he added.
Zelensky said during his recent meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, he received a positive signal regarding the possible transfer of the production licence to Ukraine. ■
