JAKARTA, June 17 (Xinhua) -- A 6.7-magnitude earthquake that struck Indonesia's Central Sulawesi province on Tuesday left one person dead and affected more than 300 residents, according to the country's National Disaster Management Agency.

As of 7:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, at least 25 people sustained minor injuries and 13 others were seriously wounded, with some 110 households or 312 individuals affected across multiple districts, the agency said.

Preliminary assessments recorded at least 67 damaged residential units, six houses of worship, two bridges, two office buildings and a provincial road linking Palu, Sigi and Poso that partially collapsed.

Authorities have launched emergency response operations. In Sigi, officials have established a field command post at the Nokilalaki sub-district office. Emergency medical tents have been set up at Poso District General Hospital.

The agency urged the public to remain calm and follow official updates.
