HANOI, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Two people died at the scene and another was seriously injured after a truck crashed into the rear of another traveling in the same direction on the Ham Nghi-Bai Vot expressway in Vietnam's central province of Ha Tinh early Monday, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
The collision occurred at 4:49 a.m. in Gia Hanh commune, trapping three occupants inside the cabin of the following truck, with the two fatalities identified as the driver's father and younger brother, according to the report.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage in the collision and authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. ■
