ISLAMABAD, May 31 (Xinhua) -- At least four people were killed and four others injured after a speeding vehicle rammed into several vehicles in Pakistan's capital Islamabad late Saturday night, police said.
The accident occurred at Athal Chowk in the Bara Kahu area of Islamabad when a fast-moving vehicle lost control and collided with multiple motorcycles and two cars, local police officials said.
The deceased included three motorcycle riders and a taxi driver who died at the scene, while the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to police, the driver fled the scene after the accident. The vehicle involved has been taken into custody and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash. ■
