SOFIA, May 1 (Xinhua) -- Five people were killed when a car and a truck collided head-on in Bulgaria on Friday, the country's Interior Ministry said.
The crash occurred at around 7:30 a.m. local time (0530 GMT) on a ring road near the town of Botevgrad, northeast of the capital Sofia. All the victims were traveling in the car.
Authorities said there was no immediate information on the vehicle's nationality.
The road has been closed following the crash, and an investigation is underway. ■
