MOSCOW, April 30 (Xinhua) -- A single phone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump won't improve a complex international environment, the Kremlin said Thursday.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the scale of global conflicts and their impact on the global economy are so serious that "it is very difficult to stop these trends at one moment."
Putin and Trump held a phone call on Wednesday, during which they discussed the recent shooting at the White House press dinner, the situation in Iran and the Ukraine crisis, according to Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
The call, initiated by the Russian side, lasted over 90 minutes and was "frank and businesslike," Ushakov added. ■
