KABUL, April 27 (Xinhua) -- In a decisive step toward bridging educational disparities in one of Afghanistan's most remote highland regions, Minister of Education Mawlawi Habibullah Agha formally launched an inclusive support project in central Bamiyan province on Sunday.

The multifaceted initiative valued at 666,298 U.S. dollars, unveiled in an official ministerial statement, encompasses the construction of three community-based schools, the establishment of 52 early-childhood development centers, 247 remedial classes, 185 accelerated learning programs, and 22 long-term educational support schemes.

It will also facilitate the distribution of essential learning materials under the "School 2030" framework and extend targeted assistance to 154 public schools across the province.

Millions of Afghan children reportedly remain deprived of formal schooling due to persistent challenges, including poverty, internal displacement and a lack of accessible schools, particularly in remote and war-affected regions across the impoverished country.
