MEXICO CITY, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Mazatlan scored four second-half goals to register a 4-3 home win over 10-man Toluca in Mexico's Liga MX on Wednesday.
Toluca's Everardo Lopez and Antonio Briseno scored either side of Brian Rubio's 49th-minute strike but the game changed course when Marcel Ruiz was shown a straight red card on the hour.
The hosts seized the initiative and Yoel Barcenas equalized with a 69th-minute penalty after Mauricio Isais handled in the area.
Gabriel Lopez then fired Mazatlan ahead with a powerful first-time finish following Dudu Teodoro's cross.
Nicolas Castro restored parity with a long-range drive but Mazatlan responded immediately as Jesus Hernandez combined with Jesus Angulo before tucking his shot past goalkeeper Hugo Gonzalez.
Elsewhere in Mexico's top flight on Wednesday, San Luis edged to a 2-0 home win over Santos Laguna and Tigres UANL drew 0-0 at Atlas. ■
