LA PAZ, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Bolivia will face Scotland in a friendly in the United States ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the South American country's football federation said on Thursday.
The clash will be played in New Jersey on June 6, five days before the start of the tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
"This international fixture pits us once again against a World Cup team and forms part of our preparation to face the South American qualifiers on the road to the 2030 World Cup," the Bolivian federation said in a statement.
Scotland will begin its World Cup campaign against Haiti on June 13 before also facing Morocco and Brazil in Group C.
Bolivia missed a berth at its first World Cup finals since 1994 after losing a playoff against Iraq last month. ■
