KABUL, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Afghan authorities distributed humanitarian aid worth approximately 5.4 million U.S. dollars last month to vulnerable citizens across the country, the official Bakhtar news agency reported on Thursday.
According to the report, the assistance reached 85,747 beneficiaries in 24 provinces, including internally displaced persons, returning families, and impoverished households.
The aid package comprised cash, food supplies, clothing, and other essential items. Officials said the support aims to help vulnerable communities cope with ongoing economic hardships and the impact of natural disasters. ■
