ABU DHABI, April 6 (Xinhua) -- An Iranian drone attack hit a building of the du telecommunications company in Fujairah, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with no injuries reported, the Fujairah Media Office said on Monday.

Authorities in the emirate are responding to the attack, according to the office.

Du is one of the major telecommunications operators in the UAE.

Separately, the authorities in Abu Dhabi on Monday confirmed that one Ghanaian national was moderately injured after debris fell on a company in the Musaffah industrial area following a successful air defence interception.

Meanwhile, Borouge, an Abu Dhabi-based petrochemicals company, confirmed that debris from an intercepted aerial threat struck its production facilities in the Ruwais industrial area on Sunday, damaging assets but causing no injuries.

The company said fires triggered by the attack were brought under control, and operations in affected units have been suspended pending damage assessments and repairs.

It added that it was able to maintain sales through alternative routes in March despite the ongoing regional conflict and has sufficient liquidity to address short-term challenges.
