BERLIN, April 1 (Xinhua) -- One resident was killed and five others were injured after a fire broke out at a homeless shelter in Bonn, Germany, authorities said on Wednesday.
The victim was found dead in a room where the blaze is believed to have started around midnight. Firefighters rescued 15 residents from the shelter and eventually brought the blaze under control.
Parts of the building were left uninhabitable, forcing several residents to relocate to other accommodations.
Around 50 emergency personnel were deployed to the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. ■
