MOSCOW, March 24 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed, and eight others were injured after an explosion struck a residential building in Sevastopol, local authorities said on Tuesday.
The blast occurred at an apartment building on Pavla Korchagina Street, causing partial structural collapse from the first to third floors, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev said.
A fire also broke out in a neighboring building but was later extinguished, local emergency services said. Residents of affected buildings were evacuated and placed in temporary accommodation.
