PHNOM PENH, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia and Brazil on Thursday reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in various areas of mutual interest, said a Cambodian foreign ministry's news release.
The commitment was made during a meeting between Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn and Susan Kleebank, secretary for Asia and the Pacific at Brazil's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The second bilateral consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of Cambodia and Brazil were held on Wednesday in Phnom Penh, the news release said.
Sokhonn said the consultations had produced fruitful and encouraging outcomes aimed at further strengthening and expanding cooperation for the mutual benefit of both nations, including trade and investment, tourism, agriculture, renewable energy, agro-processing, demining, education, environment, and parliamentary-to-parliamentary relations.
For her part, Kleebank reaffirmed Brazil's commitment to deepening cooperation further, especially in areas of mutual interest to both countries.
They also discussed regional and international issues of common concern to both countries, the news release added. ■
