COLOMBO, March 17 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka's central bank has launched a nationwide survey to gather data for the second phase of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy, state media reported on Tuesday.
The survey will cover 480 Grama Niladhari divisions, the lowest grassroots administration body, in all districts, aiming to ensure broad national representation, CBSL said.
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka said the study will assess public awareness of financial services, usage patterns and barriers that limit access to banking, savings, credit, insurance and other services.
Officials said the findings will help shape policies to improve financial inclusion and promote inclusive economic growth. ■
